Shinagawa Central Park in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, is located just west of Shinagawa Ward Office.
The park has sports facilities, including an artificial turf multipurpose field with a full-scale, beautiful 200-meter track, tennis courts also with artificial turf, and a basketball court for 3-on-3.
All of these facilities require a fee, but they are well-maintained and provide a pleasant place to play sports. In addition to the sports facilities, there are fountains, water features, lawn areas, and playground equipment that are perfect for families to play together.
In addition, there is an English-style rock garden, a large camphor tree, cherry blossoms and narcissus flowers that bloom in the spring, and many other natural flowers and plants, making this a great park for picnics.
The park is also attractively located, just a 10-minute walk from Oimachi Station on the Keihin Tohoku Line and a 5-minute walk from Tokyu Shimo-Jinmei Station.
Also, if you don’t have a reservation, the multipurpose square with artificial grass is open to the public free of charge, so if you are lucky, you can enjoy even more things to do.
