Nishi-Rokugo Park, located south of Nishi-Rokugo 1-chome Apartments in Ota-ku, has a street name of Tire Park because it is equipped with playground equipment made of about 3,000 large and small scrap tires, and this name is more famous today.
As you enter the park, you will see flowerbeds decorated with seasonal flowers and plants, and when you pass through the flowerbeds and enter the two circular plazas, one large and one small, you will be struck by the sight of tires all over the place, just as the name implies.
The tire rockets, tire robots, and the main attraction, a parent and child Godzilla, each measuring 8 meters in length, stand tall. There are also other tire-based playground equipment here and there, including telephone poles and enclosures, and some tires are not fixed in place, so visitors can roll them around while being careful of their surroundings.
As one would expect, it can get hot in the summer. The Tamagawa riverbed and the town of Kamata are nearby, so you can also visit while strolling or shopping.
