Shinagawa Shrine is located in Kita-Shinagawa, Shinagawa Ward, about 1 km north of the center of Shinagawa, and enshrines Daikokuten-sama, one of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune of the Tokai region, which was established to commemorate the incorporation of Shinagawa into Tokyo City.

It is also known for its Mt. Fuji climbing site, which was artificially created due to the former belief in Mt. The deities enshrined at the shrine are Amenohirinomi-no-mikoto, Susanoo-no-Mikoto, and Ugano-no-Mikoto.

The deity is believed to be good for maritime traffic safety, fulfillment of prayers, wealth accumulation, and matchmaking.

On New Year’s holidays, the shrine is crowded with worshippers who make the Tokai Shichifukujin pilgrimage. Mochitsuki (rice cake pounding) is held and rice cakes are served.

The nearest station is a 1-minute walk from Keihin Kyuko Shinbamba Station, and a 15-minute walk from JR Shinagawa Station. There is no parking available, so it is best to use public transportation or a nearby pay parking lot.
