Nishigahara Minnano Park (Kita-ku, Tokyo)

Nishigahara Minna no Koen (Nishigahara Everyone’s Park) is located in Kita-ku, Tokyo, and is centered around a large lawn area with a jabu-jabu pond and playground equipment complex. Disaster prevention facilities include a disaster prevention toilet, a disaster prevention bargola, a kamado bench, a disaster prevention well, and an earthquake-proof water tank.

Takinogawa Park (Kita-ku, Tokyo)

Takinogawa Park in Kita Ward, Tokyo, has an athletic playground, swings, and other children’s playground equipment, as well as a water playground, jogging course, tennis courts, gymnasium, and other facilities. It is also equipped with an emergency water tank, a water sprinkler tower, and a disaster reserve warehouse, making it possible to use the park as a disaster prevention center.

Tomiku Sakura Park (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo)

Tomihisa Sakura Park in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, has combination playground equipment, spring playground equipment, swings, and other playground equipment for children, as well as three types of stretch playground equipment for adults. Shioiri Park (Arakawa Ward, Tokyo)

Located on the east side of Arakawa Ward, this metropolitan park was planned as a disaster prevention center for the Koto area, along with Higashi Shirahige Park on the opposite shore. Under the theme of “a riverside park with vitality and richness, colored with a variety of waterfront and greenery,” the park is equipped with tennis courts, a barbecue plaza, and a variety of other facilities and amenities.

Higashi Shirahige Park (Sumida-ku, Tokyo)

Located in the northern part of Sumida Ward, Higashi-Shirahige Park is a long, narrow, green park that runs along the east side of the Sumida River. It serves as a disaster prevention center for the surrounding area (commonly known as the Koto Delta area), and a disaster prevention stockpile is located nearby, which will function as an evacuation site in the event of a disaster.

Aoto Heiwa Park (Katsushika Ward, Tokyo)

Aoto Peace Park in Katsushika-ku, Tokyo is located in Aoto, Katsushika-ku, near the center of Katsushika-ku. It is an important park for local residents as it is a place to relax and pray for a nuclear-free peace, as well as a disaster prevention facility.
